A screener reads first, not a chatbot
Every message goes to a separate model with one job: decide if it’s a shared expense. It can’t reply, look things up, or take any action.
Everything else is erased
If a text isn’t about money, its words are deleted right after that check. Tab’s AI never sees them.
Code does the math
Amounts and splits are worked out by plain code, and every number Tab sends has to match your group’s ledger.
Nothing moves without your yes
Only your own 👍 approves a payment. Tab’s AI can’t send money for anyone.

Your data is never sold or used for ads. Tab will never ask for your bank login or Social Security number in a text. If something claiming to be Tab does, it isn't us.

No. One person adds Tab to the chat, and everyone else just keeps texting. Tab asks each person for their first name once, and for a payment handle only when they first need to pay or get paid.
Never in front of the group. Tab reminds people privately and politely, so you never have to be the one who asks. Your friend will just mysteriously start paying on time.
Tab's AI doesn't. A separate screening model checks each message for one thing: is it a shared expense? If it isn't, the text is deleted right after that check and never reaches Tab's AI. Only expenses are kept, and your data is never sold or used for ads.
For now, Tab sends each person a Venmo or Cash App link for their exact amount, and the person being paid confirms it arrived. Tab never holds or moves your money. Settling directly inside iMessage is coming soon.
